About Mt. Eden Cemetery, Hayward
On April 13, 1861, “a number of citizens of Eden Township assembled at the School House of the Eureka District” in Mt. Eden, California, for the purpose of proceeding with the formation of “a society for the establishment and management of a Cemetery Association”. It was on this day, that the cemetery began operation.
Currently, we are a fully licensed, endowment care cemetery. The association operates as a not-for-profit and non-denominational facility. We offer single and double in-ground burial sites, above ground crypts in our mausoleum and wall cremation niches. Whichever option you may choose, you will have the peace of mind that your loved one’s location will be maintained and remembered for the future generations to come.
When a loved one passes away, your family needs compassionate guidance in selecting a final resting place. Our friendly staff will work with you to discuss the different options and work with you to find a meaningful and affordable option.
